The Neuromantic Movement Begins Now! 18.12.16

We are very excited to announce the launch of the official William Control Street Team aka The Neuromantics.

Run by fans, our mission is simple: create as much publicity and gain as much exposure as possible for the work of our favourite band, William Control, in order to send them stratospheric, and we want you to get involved. You can do as much or as little as you are able – everything helps. It will be partly online and partly physical street team work, which gives everyone a chance to be a part of this, no matter their location. The bulk of the administrative side of things will be done through the official Facebook group ‘The Neuromantics’.

If you are interested in joining the team please email us on streetteam@williamcontrol.com and let us have your name and city, and request to join the Facebook group at www.facebook.com/groups/theneuromantics You will be approved when we can match you to your email, so do tell us if you use a different name on Facebook to the one attached to your email address. If you don’t have a Facebook account and would still like to take part then again email us and inform us of this, and we will do our best to keep you updated via email, although the Facebook option is far preferable. We will respond to you as quickly as possible, but please remember that we are all volunteers with our own real world jobs and commitments too.

The plan for the online part is to post a weekly mission for everyone to take part in (as well as ad hoc tasks). Once you’ve done so we’d like you to attach a screenshot or photograph in the comments section for that mission so that we can see how everyone is doing. If you’re unable to do this then simply comment. Please hit your social media accounts, your websites, the forums you use, iTunes – anywhere and everywhere that you can think of, and also ensure that you follow William Control and Control Merch on all social media platforms where there are accounts (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and Snapchat for William Control, Instagram and Twitter for Control Merch). Feel free to make your own separate posts on your accounts too – the more the merrier! Enthusiasm is key. And if you have any thoughts on future missions, sites/apps to post on, branching out into the physical realm and so on, or if you have any particularly relevant skills that you think might be useful, or if you run a music blog or website, or if you have contacts with any publications/radio or TV stations/related websites etc – ANYTHING – then please contact us as we’ll be compiling a database of these for future reference. We do have a list of ideas to work from but we’ll always welcome extra suggestions.

As far as the physical side of things is concerned, the main task will be to hand out flyers outside of local shows where WC could have crossover appeal with the bands playing, in order to recruit fans that way. Any city is great and will make a difference, but ideally we’d like a couple of people (or more) to do it in certain key locations, details of which are on the Facebook group. So if you’re up for this then please tell us when you email us (or post on the sign-up thread) and once we’re at the stage of actually going out flyering then we will be in touch.

Missions will begin when we’ve amassed a team, but for now please use the ‘introductions’ thread, sign up to the resources database/flyering and have a go at the ‘ongoing’ ideas listed on the group and in your confirmation email. Post on the list to show us all what you’re up to.

Thank you for your interest, your time, your commitment and your help. Independent artists rely on their fans’ support and between us we can make things happen and do our bit towards making the talented William Control and the Neuromantic Boys the success that they deserve to be. Please share and repost this message far and wide so it is seen by a many people as possible.

Please do follow our other accounts too (although bear in mind that they’re a work in progress!):
